Uzbekistan and the U.S. Discuss Investment, Industry, and Education Cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 29 August 2025, Akram Aliyev, Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan, met with Kurt Volker, President of Alliance Strategic Advisors LLC, and Çagri Bagcıoğlu, CEO of Cintana Education for Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
The discussions focused on the current state and future prospects of Uzbek-American cooperation. Key areas highlighted included collaboration in critical minerals, the chemical industry, healthcare, infrastructure, and education.
Special attention was given to the development of educational initiatives, including the American University of Technology, opened in Tashkent in 2024 in partnership with Arizona State University and Cintana Education.
The university offers programs across seven undergraduate and three graduate disciplines, preparing specialists in engineering, information technology, and other in-demand fields.
Following the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their intention to continue dialogue and develop new initiatives aimed at strengthening educational and economic partnership between Uzbekistan and the United States.
