Uzbekistan and the U.S. Discuss Investment and Energy Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 27 October, the Minister of Investments and Industry of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov, met with a U.S. delegation led by the Special Envoy for South and Central Asia, Sergio Gor, and Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau.

The talks focused on the current state and prospects of Uzbek-American cooperation in investment, industry, energy, and infrastructure, as well as the implementation of agreements reached during President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s September visit to the United States.

Kudratov emphasized the importance of practical implementation of the agreements and highlighted the strong interest of American companies in investment projects across priority sectors of Uzbekistan’s economy, including mining, agriculture, transportation, and IT.

Particular attention was given to preparations for the upcoming C5+1 Summit in the U.S., which is expected to become a significant milestone in strengthening regional engagement and deepening strategic partnership between Central Asian countries and the United States.
