Uzbekistan and the U.S. Discuss Expanding Cooperation in Investment and Trade
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During a videoconference between Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, and U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, the parties discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in trade, economic, and investment spheres.
The sides noted the high level of strategic partnership between the two countries and expressed readiness to further strengthen collaboration in areas such as industry, energy, mining, digital technologies, as well as the development of transport and innovation infrastructure.
Special attention was given to promoting joint projects in critical raw materials, industrial cooperation, and the implementation of advanced technologies in production processes.
The importance of deepening institutional interaction, supporting educational and professional exchanges, expanding interregional links, and involving American financial institutions in investment projects in Uzbekistan was also emphasized.
At the conclusion of the talks, the parties confirmed their intention to intensify practical cooperation and continue dialogue within the framework of upcoming bilateral events.
