Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 19 May, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, met with Lindsay Hoyle, Speaker of the House of Commons of the UK Parliament.

The parties discussed pressing issues related to strengthening bilateral relations, emphasizing the positive momentum of the deepening partnership between Uzbekistan and the United Kingdom.

Special attention was given to expanding interparliamentary cooperation as an important tool for enhancing mutual understanding and promoting joint initiatives in key areas such as trade, education, security, and others.

It was noted that the development of interpersonal ties remains a priority direction of Uzbekistan’s foreign policy and a crucial factor in building strong and comprehensive cooperation.
