Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 26 February, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, met with UK Deputy Prime Minister David Lammy and representatives of leading British companies.

The event included participation from companies such as Rio Tinto, Rolls-Royce, International Hospitals Group, and Intertek, operating in industries including manufacturing, finance, infrastructure, critical minerals, and healthcare.

On the sidelines of the reception, a separate meeting with David Lammy took place, during which the parties exchanged views on further strengthening bilateral cooperation and advancing shared priorities.

The reception provided a significant platform for direct dialogue with the British private sector, presenting ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan and discussing concrete opportunities to expand trade, investment, and technological collaboration.

The minister emphasized Uzbekistan’s commitment to deepening strategic partnership with the United Kingdom and creating new opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation.
