Uzbekistan and the UK sign cooperation program between foreign ministries for 2025–2026
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 19 May, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov held talks in London with the new UK Foreign Secretary, David Lammy.
The parties discussed a broad range of bilateral cooperation issues, noting that the agenda for 2025 is marked by scale and ambition, reflecting the dynamic development of Uzbek-British relations.
“From trade and investment to cultural ties and global challenges, we discussed new opportunities for cooperation and reaffirmed our shared commitment to mutual prosperity and stability,” Bakhtiyor Saidov wrote on his Telegram channel following the meeting.
A significant outcome of the negotiations was the signing of the Cooperation Program between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and the United Kingdom for 2025–2026. This document sets the framework for intensifying dialogue across all key areas, including politics, economy, education, energy, and climate change.
