Uzbekistan and the Philippines discuss prospects for trade and economic cooperation

On 22 November 2017, the Ministry of Foreign Trade hosted a meeting with the Philippine delegation led by the head of the Department for Cooperation with the Countries of the Middle East and Africa of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Hjayceelyn Quintana.
The sides reviewed the current state and prospects of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
The sides considered issues of cooperation in the field of agriculture, light industry, tourism, development of transport and air communications.
In addition, Ms. Quintana expressed interest of the Philippine side in establishing direct contacts between representatives of business circles of the two countries for further development of trade and economic relations.
Following the meeting, the sides expressed mutual interest in continuing their joint work.
