Uzbekistan and the Netherlands Aim to Deepen Bilateral Agricultural Cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s Minister of Agriculture, Ibrohim Abdurakhmonov, held a working meeting with Olimjon Kasymov, the representative of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Uzbekistan, during which the parties discussed ways to deepen bilateral cooperation in the agricultural sector.
The discussions focused on modernizing the agricultural sector and introducing advanced international practices, with particular emphasis on greenhouse farming, an area in which the Netherlands is recognized as a global leader.
The parties discussed organizing workshops and training programs for local specialists and farmers, as well as effective mechanisms for exchanging knowledge and practical technologies.
The dialogue also addressed expanding the import and export of agricultural products and improving logistics and trade chains, which would open new markets for producers in both countries.
The development of floriculture using Dutch technologies and expertise was considered as a separate area of cooperation.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides confirmed the importance of translating the agreements and proposals reached into practical measures, accelerating the implementation of joint projects, and systematically developing bilateral agricultural cooperation.
