Uzbekistan and the French Development Agency Discuss Prospective Projects in Energy, Water Supply, and Infrastructure

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 16 October, the Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov, held a meeting with Amélie Aubert, Regional Director for Central and Eastern Asia and Director for China at the French Development Agency (AFD).

During the talks, the parties discussed ongoing cooperation and prospective projects in the fields of energy, water supply, infrastructure, and environmental protection. Special attention was given to issues of sustainable development, the introduction of modern technologies, and improving the efficiency of ongoing initiatives.

According to Amélie Aubert, the agency has financed 13 major projects worth over €1.6 billion over the years of cooperation. Uzbekistan is among the top twenty partner countries of the French Development Agency and remains one of its priority nations for collaboration.

Following the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening the partnership and implementing strategically important joint projects for the Republic of Uzbekistan.
