Uzbekistan and the Czech Republic Discuss Prospects for Cooperation in Electronics and Electrical Engineering
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting was held in Prague between representatives of Uzbekistan and Jan Proksa, Director of the Czech Electrical Engineering Association, to discuss prospects for cooperation in electronics, electrical engineering, automation, energy, and related industrial sectors, Dunyo news agency reported.
The Czech side was provided with a detailed overview of the reforms implemented in Uzbekistan since 2016, including measures to create a favorable investment climate, as well as opportunities for establishing manufacturing operations, conducting financial activities, and organizing export processes.
It was noted that the development of industrial production in the electronics and electrical engineering sectors is a priority of Uzbekistan’s economic policy.
The leadership of the Czech Electrical Engineering Association expressed strong interest in cooperation with Uzbekistan, highlighting the expertise of Czech companies in industrial automation, Industry 4.0 solutions, the application of artificial intelligence, mechatronics, and the production of high-tech equipment for the energy and mining sectors.
During the discussions, it was emphasized that Uzbekistan offers a stable economic environment, provides access to major markets in Central Asia and Eurasia, and represents an attractive partner within the framework of the EU’s GSP+ preferential trade regime.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed on the importance of developing mutually beneficial cooperation in electrical engineering and electronics, expanding business ties, and promoting the exchange of expertise through participation in international exhibitions.
