Uzbekistan and TAQA Water Solutions Discuss Prospects for Joint Water Infrastructure Projects

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 19 January, the Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov, held a meeting with Ahmed Al-Shamsi, CEO of TAQA Water Solutions.

During the discussion, the parties reviewed the current status and prospects for implementing joint infrastructure projects in the water supply and wastewater sectors. The conversation focused on practical cooperation, parameters for further development of initiatives, and coordination among relevant agencies.

The minister emphasized Uzbekistan’s interest in attracting international expertise and modern solutions for sustainable water resource management, as well as the importance of transparent and economically sound approaches in implementing major infrastructure projects. Particular attention was given to compliance with national standards and ensuring a balance of interests among all participants.

For his part, the CEO of TAQA Water Solutions confirmed the company’s readiness to continue constructive dialogue and collaborative efforts aimed at practically advancing the initiatives under discussion. At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed mutual interest in further developing cooperation and agreed to continue working together on an ongoing basis.
