Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An official visit of the delegation of Sughd region of the Republic of Tajikistan to Uzbekistan ended with the preliminary agreement of the "road map".
The points outlined in the draft "road map" were considered at the final official meeting with the participation of: from the Tajik side - the chairman of Sughd region Rajabboy Akhmadzoda and the Ambassador of Tajikistan to Uzbekistan Abdujabbor Rakhmonzoda, from the Uzbek side - the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan Zhamshid Khojaev and the khokim of the Tashkent region Davron Khidoyatov .
In the near future, a delegation of Uzbekistan will go to Tajikistan on a return visit to work out the document in detail based on the study of the land and soil, production potential of Sughd region and the development of specific projects in several areas of cooperation, including the study and implementation of Uzbek experience in the creation of other manufacturing and processing clusters and enterprises.
The visit of the Tajik delegation and the study tour to the objects of the agrarian industry on 24-25 June were organized by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the support of the Tashkent region khokimiyat following the results of the visit at the highest level to Tajikistan on 10-11 June 2021. The delegation headed by the chairman of the Sughd region Rajabboy Ahmadzoda included the heads of the Khujand, Gulistan, Spitamen and Zafarabad regions of Tajikistan, as well as the heads of large agricultural industries and companies of the neighboring state.
In two days, a Tajik delegation of 30 people visited and studied several agricultural facilities in the Tashkent region. Among them are the AKIS Center for Agricultural Knowledge, Innovation and Services, the TST Rice rice cluster, which has a complete production chain for growing and deep processing of rice, TNA Agro Invest for the processing and drying of fruits and vegetables, the Uzumfermer winery, the UzTex enterprise, the Gold Dried Fruits agricultural holding, which is a full-cycle complex with enterprises responsible for the cultivation of fresh fruits and vegetables and the production of dried and frozen products, as well as for the processing and export of fresh, dried and frozen products.
The guests also visited the Real Agro Cotton cluster for cotton processing and textile production and the Uzbekpaksanoat Association, which united 8 farms for the production of silkworm seeds, 46 farms for the processing of cocoons and the production of silk fabrics and finished products, and 22 farms for the production of seeds and mulberry seedlings.
