Uzbekistan and Tajikistan Plan Integration of Information Systems and Exchange of Customs Data

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As part of a visit to Dushanbe, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov met with Khurshed Mirzo, Director of the Agency for Innovation and Digital Technologies under the President of Tajikistan.

The head of the Tajik agency presented ongoing national projects aimed at developing the digital economy, transitioning public services to electronic formats, establishing data exchange systems, and ensuring information security.

A presentation of digital platforms, innovative solutions, and programs demonstrating practical achievements was also held.

The parties discussed prospects for expanding cooperation between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan in the field of digitalization, the implementation of joint projects, and the harmonization of the two countries’ digital ecosystems.

In particular, proposals were made to enhance the integration of government information systems, establish electronic customs data exchange, and create a secure and efficient system for real-time information transfer.
