Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 3 February, a meeting was held between the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan, Ismatulla Irgashev, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Swiss Confederation to Uzbekistan, Konstantin Obolensky.

During the discussions, the sides exchanged views on the current situation in Afghanistan, addressed international efforts to prevent a humanitarian crisis in the country, and explored issues of bilateral cooperation in the rational use of water resources.

Special attention was given to the need for continued consultations on Afghan-related matters. Both sides expressed interest in strengthening dialogue and developing joint initiatives in this area.
