The negotiations were attended by Sharafiddin Kadirov, Chief Engineer of the company, and Cho Jin Hwan, Executive Vice President of the Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL).

The parties reviewed the implementation of previously agreed initiatives, analyzed the results achieved, and identified priority areas for further cooperation. Special attention was given to expanding collaboration in the digitalization of JSC “Uzbekistan Railways” operations.

The prospects for joint work on the construction of the Tashkent–Samarkand high-speed railway line were also discussed.

Additionally, the discussion covered the creation of a depot for in-depth technical maintenance of high-speed trains, as well as the exchange of experience in operating and servicing high-speed electric trains manufactured by Hyundai Rotem, which are being supplied to Uzbekistan.

The parties also agreed to implement professional development programs and exchange initiatives for technical personnel involved in maintaining high-speed rolling stock.

Following the negotiations, an additional annex to the memorandum of understanding was signed, aimed at further strengthening and deepening bilateral cooperation between JSC “Uzbekistan Railways” and KORAIL.
