Uzbekistan and South Korea Sign Memorandum on Humanoid Robot Production

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A Uzbekistan–South Korea business roundtable was held in the Republic of Korea, where participants discussed expanding strategic economic cooperation between the two countries.

The Uzbek government delegation was led by Deputy Prime Minister J. Khodjaev, with active participation from F. Abdualimov, Deputy Chairman of the “Uzeltehsanoat” Association.

Following the meetings, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed with South Korean company ROBOTIS. The agreement outlines plans to establish humanoid robot production in Uzbekistan, develop a technological base and manufacturing facilities, and implement a training system for qualified personnel to advance the robotics industry.

ROBOTIS is a leading South Korean robotics manufacturer, renowned for its humanoid, educational, and industrial robots, as well as DYNAMIXEL intelligent actuators. The company has extensive experience in developing and commercializing innovative robotics platforms in international markets.

Representatives from both sides emphasized that the agreement opens new opportunities to deepen technological cooperation and strengthen strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and South Korea.
