Uzbekistan and South Korea mark 25th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations

Acting President of the Republic of Korea Hwang Kyo-ahn, and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev exchanged congratulatory messages.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated Hwang Kyo-ahn and people of South Korea with this date. He said that Uzbekistan highly rates strategic partnership with South Korea.

Uzbek leader said South Korea has huge economic, intellectual and industrial-technical potential and is one of reliable and long-term partners of Uzbekistan.

Mirziyoyev stated that in recent years two countries reached significant progress in strengthening fundamental basis of cooperation, supporting high level of open and trustful political dialogue.

Uzbekistan gradually supports peaceful and balanced foreign policy of South Korea, Uzbek President said.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev said that the Government of Uzbekistan and he will further strengthen trade-economic and financial investment, as well as technical cooperation with South Korea.

He expressed hope that two countries will continue trustful and constructive dialogue and strengthen firm foundation of cooperation, as well as determine new directions of partnership.

Hwang Kyo-ahn said that construction of Ustyurt Gas Chemical Complex at Surgil field is great example of fruitful cooperation between two nations. He expresses hope that other projects in petrochemical industry, currently realized, and new projects in future will become next samples of efficient cooperation between Uzbekistan and South Korea.

He noted that launch of House of Korea Culture and Art, which is currently constructed within bilateral cooperation, will bring two countries together.
