Uzbekistan and South Korea Launch “Smart Packaging” Project in the Agro-Industrial Sector
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting was held at the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan with a delegation from the South Korean organization INNOBIZ Association to discuss bilateral cooperation, exchange of innovative experience, and the practical implementation of new projects in the agro-industrial sector.
The South Korean guests presented the activities of their organization. Founded in 2002, INNOBIZ Association is a non-governmental organization that supports small and medium-sized enterprises through technological innovations. Today, the organization assists hundreds of companies in areas such as export, the implementation of digital solutions, and new technologies.
Special attention during the meeting was given to the “Smart Packaging” project, which is planned to be implemented in several stages during 2027–2031.
The first stage involves the introduction of environmentally friendly, functional, and innovative packaging systems at selected enterprises. The main goals of the initiative are to enhance food safety, strengthen export potential, and integrate digital technologies into the agro-industrial sector.
Following the discussions, both sides agreed to develop concrete proposals for the project, coordinate technical and organizational aspects, and define the subsequent practical stages of its implementation.
