Uzbekistan and Slovenia Strengthen Cooperation in Beekeeping

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Representatives of Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Agriculture held a meeting with a Slovenian delegation, which included leading scientists and experts in beekeeping.

During the talks, the parties discussed expanding scientific cooperation in beekeeping, implementing modern technologies, and sharing best practices.

They also exchanged views on work under the UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) project “Global Knowledge and Skills Exchange in Beekeeping and Honey Production.” The initiative aims to widely disseminate knowledge and innovations in beekeeping, increase rural employment, support youth entrepreneurship, and ensure environmental sustainability.

The dialogue further covered expanding the export geography of beekeeping products, exploring opportunities for new markets, and implementing joint investment projects.

Following the meeting, Slovenian experts participated in a scientific-practical seminar at Tashkent State Agrarian University, sharing their experience with entrepreneurs and students engaged in beekeeping. Participants received detailed information on innovative approaches used in Slovenia for honey production, quality control systems, and preparation of products for export.
