Uzbekistan and Slovakia Hold First Consular Consultations in Bratislava
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The first consular consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Slovakia took place in Bratislava.
During the discussions, the parties addressed the simplification of visa procedures, labor migration issues, and the exchange of consular information.
Following the meeting, the Slovak side expressed its readiness to consider reducing the processing time for national visa applications from three months to one month.
The parties also agreed to inform the Slovak Migration Agency about prospects for involving Uzbek labor migrants to work at the Volvo plant, as well as plans to organize Slovak language courses for them.
Relevant agencies will continue working on bilateral agreements concerning labor migration regulation, readmission, and mobility of citizens.
