Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia Sign 10 New Bilateral Agreements on Investment and Infrastructure

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 14 October, Tashkent hosted the 7th Intergovernmental Commission and the 6th Business Council between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The meetings were co-chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev and Saudi Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih. Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Shokhrukh Gulyamov also took part in the events.

More than 70 representatives from government agencies and business circles of both countries attended, including major companies such as Acwa Power, Al Muhaidib Group, Vision Invest, Al Arkkan, Data Volt, Riyadh Cables, Saudi Tabreed, AlBawani Holding, Miahona, and other leading enterprises.

As a result of the talks, the sides signed ten bilateral agreements and project documents in the fields of energy and renewable sources, tourism, transport and logistics, information technology, infrastructure development, and public utilities and water management.

The trade turnover between the two countries amounted to US$142.4 million in 2024, while in the period from January to August 2025, it reached US$111.5 million. Currently, 27 enterprises with Saudi participation operate in Uzbekistan, and 56 investment projects worth a total of US$27.2 billion are being implemented, with US$900 million already utilized in 2025.
