Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 23 April, the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with Nasser Albakran, Director of the Department at the Ministry of Energy of Saudi Arabia.

The meeting was attended by First Deputy Minister Oybek Nasritdinkhodjaev, Deputy Minister Ulugbek Yusupov, Director of the State Scientific-Practical Center for Localization and Industrial Cooperation Development in the Mining Industry Mirabdulla Ilkhamov, and representatives of the Saudi side.

During the talks, the parties discussed in detail the key directions of ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan’s mining and geological sectors, prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation, and ways to increase local content in investment projects. Special attention was given to experience-sharing in production localization and the development of industrial cooperation.
