Uzbekistan and Russia to Discuss Strengthening Interparliamentary Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 15 October, a parliamentary delegation from Uzbekistan, led by First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Sodik Safoyev, arrived in Kazan, according to the Senate press service.

The visit coincides with the 10th meeting of the Cooperation Commission between the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan and the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.

During the session, the parties are expected to discuss prospects for further interparliamentary cooperation and expanding collaboration in trade, economics, education, agriculture, tourism, and cultural exchanges.

The visit will also include bilateral meetings between Uzbek senators and members of the Russian Federation Council, as well as discussions with the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan on Tourism. Additionally, the Uzbek delegation will familiarize themselves with the region’s modern technological infrastructure.
