Uzbekistan and Russia Sign Memorandum on International Train Tariffs

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 5 December 2025, a bilateral meeting was held in Tashkent between Uzbekistan Railways JSC, its subsidiary Uztemiryulyulovchi JSC, and Russia’s Federal Passenger Company JSC, dedicated to issues concerning the organization of international passenger transportation.

The talks were attended by Mansur Radzhabov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan Railways JSC; Sherali Yusupov, Director General of Uztemiryulyulovchi JSC; Vladimir Pyastolov, Director General of the Federal Passenger Company JSC; as well as other senior specialists.

During the meeting, heads of structural departments delivered reports and presentations on the development of international passenger transport services.

The parties discussed tariff policy, joint marketing initiatives, and exchanged information on passenger flows between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan.

As part of the meeting, a Memorandum of Cooperation on the development of tariff policy for interstate passenger transportation was signed.

Under the document, the parties plan to develop a balanced tariff policy, enhance the competitiveness of passenger services, conduct joint analysis of tariff decisions, introduce flexible fares and discounts, launch additional international passenger trains, and explore opportunities for sharing global best practices and implementing digital technologies.

The signing of the Memorandum opens new prospects for optimizing the transport network and improving service quality for passengers of both countries.
