Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev confirmed during a telephone conversation their intention to develop a strategic partnership, primarily in the economic sphere. This was reported by the Kremlin press service following the conversation.

“Some topical issues on the bilateral agenda were also touched upon. The mutual disposition to further develop the Russian-Uzbek strategic partnership with an emphasis on the implementation of specific projects in the trade, economic and humanitarian fields was confirmed,” the press service said in a statement.
