Uzbekistan and Russia Discuss Expanding Bilateral Economic Cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 3 December, as part of the 26th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia, a business forum was held in Tashkent, bringing together business communities from both countries.
The event hosted representatives from over 100 companies from Uzbekistan and Russia, working in digital technologies, transportation, agriculture, industry, energy, pharmaceuticals, and the chemical sector.
Speakers included Uzbekistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khodjaev and First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov, along with representatives of relevant ministries and agencies. They discussed deepening bilateral economic cooperation, implementing joint initiatives, and expanding trade and economic ties.
Alisher Shaykhov, Advisor to the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce of Uzbekistan, emphasized the importance of active collaboration between entrepreneurs from both countries, development of joint projects, and strengthening business relations at the institutional level.
The forum featured B2B meetings between Uzbek and Russian companies, resulting in agreements on several promising projects.
The Uzbekistan–Russia Business Forum marked an important stage in practical dialogue between the business communities of both countries and contributed to the further strengthening of economic partnership.
