Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 19 March, the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Tanzila Narbayeva, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to Uzbekistan, Hassan Hamza Asad Muhammad Hashim.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of Uzbek-Qatari cooperation and prospects for its further development.

Special attention was given to expanding joint projects in political, trade, economic, and investment spheres, as well as strengthening interparliamentary ties.

The discussion also covered cooperation with Qatar’s Advisory Council, particularly efforts to enhance the activities of the interparliamentary friendship group and establish dialogue with regional councils.

The parties agreed to hold a constructive dialogue with representatives of Qatar’s Advisory Council within the framework of the 150th anniversary assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, which will take place in Uzbekistan’s capital.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of further developing comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
