Uzbekistan and Paraguay Discuss Cooperation in Mining and Geology

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In Asunción, a delegation from the Republic of Uzbekistan met with the President of Paraguay, Santiago Peña, with the participation of Uzbekistan’s Deputy Minister of Mining and Geology, Ural Yusupov.

The talks focused on developing bilateral cooperation in the mining and geological sector, including prospects for joint geological exploration and collaboration in the study and development of critical minerals.

The parties also discussed improving the regulatory framework in geology and subsoil use, as well as expanding practical cooperation between relevant government agencies and specialized companies in both countries.

During the meeting, intentions were confirmed to deepen the exchange of expertise and to attract modern technologies and investment for the implementation of joint projects.

Both sides emphasized the importance of establishing a long-term partnership and creating conditions for stable economic cooperation in the mining sector.
