Uzbekistan and Pakistan Expert Circles to Discuss Practical Steps for Advancing Strategic Partnership
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 29 January 2026, an online conference titled “Uzbekistan–Pakistan: Strategic Partnership, Connectivity, and Sustainable Development in a Changing World” will take place.
The event is timed to coincide with the upcoming official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
The conference is organized by the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of Uzbekistan and the Institute of Regional Studies in Islamabad. Participants will include representatives from government bodies, leading analytical centers, as well as research and educational institutions from both countries.
During the discussions, participants will explore the prospects for Uzbek–Pakistani cooperation, with particular attention to strengthening political dialogue, expanding economic ties and industrial cooperation, developing transport and logistics infrastructure, and initiatives in the field of human capital.
Special focus will be given to developing practical recommendations capable of giving new momentum to the bilateral partnership and unlocking the potential for joint development. The outcomes of the conference will serve as an important contribution to the preparation of the upcoming high-level negotiations.
