Uzbekistan and Oman: Women’s Business Cooperation Reaches New Level

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Following an initiative by the Sultanate of Oman, a business forum for women entrepreneurs from Uzbekistan and Oman was held in Muscat from 25 to 28 February 2025.

The event marked an important step in strengthening trade and economic cooperation between businesswomen of the two countries, promoting the exchange of experience and implementation of joint projects. As a result of the forum, nine cooperation agreements were signed among participants.

Continuing this successful collaboration, on 20 October, the Uzbekistan-Oman Women’s Business Forum took place in Tashkent.

The event brought together Shakhlo Ibragimova, Deputy Chair of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan; the head of the Omani delegation, Chair of the Board of Funun Hospitality and Project Management LLC, Siham bint Ahmad al-Harsiya; the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Uzbekistan, Wafo Jabr Nasir al-Busaidi; and over 100 active businesswomen from both countries.

During the forum, participants discussed the investment and export potential of Uzbekistan and Oman, ongoing reforms supporting women’s entrepreneurship, and new areas of cooperation.

Additionally, B2B and G2B meetings were organized, providing participants with opportunities to explore practical aspects of establishing joint ventures and concluding mutually beneficial trade agreements.

The forum also included a business tour of the company “Miss Lighting” and the private school “Nova School,” aimed at reinforcing the signed agreements and encouraging active involvement in developing economic ties.
