Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Oman’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al-Busaidi, arrived in Uzbekistan for an official visit and was received by Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov.

Saidov emphasized the deep historical ties between Uzbekistan and Oman, highlighting their significant contributions to the development of Islamic civilization.

"We are committed to strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation in all areas. Today, we discussed several initiatives aimed at further developing our partnership and giving new momentum to our bilateral relations," Saidov wrote on his Telegram channel.

The two sides also reviewed preparations for the upcoming Summit of the Strategic Dialogue between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Central Asia, scheduled to take place in May in Samarkand.

"The bilateral agenda includes a packed schedule of events at all levels, and we have agreed to actively promote expanded exchanges," the Uzbek foreign minister stated.
