Uzbekistan and Malaysia to cooperate in the field of advanced training of lawyers

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Representatives of the Center for Advanced Studies of Lawyers under the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan and the Institute of Judicial Legal Training (ILKAP) under the Administration of the Prime Minister of Malaysia discussed issues of cooperation in the field of retraining of legal personnel in the form of a videoconference, Dunyo reported.

During the event, organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kuala Lumpur, ILKAP Director General Anita Harun expressed interest in establishing partnerships with the Center for Advanced Training of Lawyers, including by signing the corresponding Memorandum.

The Malaysian side noted that the pandemic has made changes in all spheres of life of the state and society. Therefore, there is an urgent need to review the daily work of public institutions and the transition to a new format of work.

Following the talks, the parties agreed to consider the possibility of organizing webinars for students of the Center for Advanced Studies of Lawyers, to develop and improve training programs, as well as to conduct joint research and exchange educational literature.

Created in 1992, ILKAP is the country’s main educational institution in the field of jurisprudence. The Institute is engaged in advanced training for judges, as well as lawyers from among civil servants, and members of the country’s judicial and law enforcement agencies.
