Uzbekistan and Malaysia Discuss Digitalization and AI in Agriculture
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan, Ibrokhim Abdurakhmanov, held a working meeting with Rozali Ismail, founder and CEO of the Malaysian company Meraque Group.
During the discussions, both sides explored opportunities for digitalizing the agricultural sector, implementing artificial intelligence technologies in production processes, and creating hybrid platforms for precision farming.
Particular attention was given to joint projects aimed at increasing agricultural efficiency, optimizing resource use, and developing a digital services ecosystem.
The meeting also covered robotic solutions to reduce manual labor, the use of drones for field monitoring, and algorithm-based yield forecasting.
Participants emphasized the importance of these initiatives for the further development of Uzbekistan’s agricultural sector. Collaboration with Malaysia on hybrid platforms and robotics is expected to lay the foundation for a modern digital agro-ecosystem capable of boosting crop yields and using water resources more efficiently.
