Uzbekistan and Lithuania to cooperate in healthcare system
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Ministries of healthcare of Uzbekistan and Lithuania signed an agreement on bilateral cooperation in the sphere of healthcare and medicine.
Minister of healthcare of Lithuania Rimantė Šalaševičiūtė and Minister of healthcare of Uzbekistan Anvar Alimov signed the document in Vilnius.
The agreement envisages organization of consultations, exchange of specialists and information, organization of events, etc.
The parties will encourage direct contacts between medical schools and research institutions, medical facilities and other health care organizations, medical tourism, and training of students.
On 14-17 September 2015, the delegation of Uzbekistan headed by the Minister of Health Anvar Alimov took part in the 65th session of the Regional Committee of the World Health Organization in Vilnius (Lithuania).
