Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 8 June 2021, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Gayrat Fazilov held talks with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania Mantas Adomenas in the format of video conference.
During the conversation, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of multifaceted Uzbek-Lithuanian relations in the political, trade, economic, investment, cultural, humanitarian and other areas.
Particular attention was paid to the intensification of economic diplomacy between Uzbekistan and Lithuania. In particular, mutual interest was confirmed in increasing mutual trade and diversifying the range of goods turnover, implementing joint investment projects, including in the transport and logistics sector.
An exchange of views took place on certain aspects of interaction between the two countries within the framework of regional and international structures.
