Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan plan to open an additional 3-4 checkpoints at the borders in 2022. This was reported by AKIpress quoting the candidate for the post of Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeenbek Kulubaev.
Deputy Eldar Sulaimanov at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh informed that there was a post in the village of Chek-Abad, which was closed.
“According to my information, a delegation of Uzbekistan consisting of 40 people will arrive in Kyrgyzstan to open the border. I have a request to you, please provide assistance,” the deputy said.
Jeenbek Kulubaev informed that this issue was raised at the meeting of the prime ministers of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
“We have to consider the conditions, what kind of work their side will do, and what ours will do. We have been discussing this issue for a long time, this year we will create conditions for the opening of 3-4 checkpoints,” he added.
