Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan Expand Industrial Cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan are actively developing industrial cooperation, as the economies of the two countries complement each other, said Uzbekistan’s ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, Saidikram Niyazhodjaev, during a radio interview.
According to the ambassador, one of the key areas of bilateral collaboration is the development of joint manufacturing projects. He emphasized that both countries are focusing on expanding industrial cooperation, leveraging the fact that their economic capacities can effectively complement each other.
Niyazhodjaev highlighted that each country possesses resources and expertise that can benefit its partner. Uzbekistan’s products and industrial capabilities can be offered to Kyrgyzstan, while Kyrgyzstan’s resources and potential are of interest to Uzbekistan’s economy.
As an example of this cooperation, the ambassador cited a joint project for automobile production in Kyrgyzstan. He noted that approximately 3,000 vehicles were manufactured in the country last year.
These cars are already in use within Kyrgyzstan and represent finished products being actively deployed on local roads.
Niyazhodjaev also mentioned that the project has received international recognition. During the celebration of U.S. Independence Day last year, the U.S. ambassador praised the locally produced Chevrolet vehicles, expressing appreciation for seeing them manufactured and utilized in Kyrgyzstan.
