Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan discuss energy oversight cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting was held in Tashkent between representatives of Uzenergoinspektsiya and a delegation from the Energy Oversight Service of the Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic to develop bilateral cooperation in the energy sector.

During the discussions, Zh. Alimbekov, Director of the Kyrgyz service, and D. Isakulov, Head of Uzenergoinspektsiya, presented information on the structure and key functions of their respective agencies and outlined their main areas of activity.

The talks focused on ensuring stable and reliable energy supply. Participants discussed the causes of intersystem emergency outages and exchanged practical experience in analyzing and preventing such incidents.

The dialogue was noted as the first step toward establishing direct interaction between the energy inspection authorities of the two countries. It is expected to lay the foundation for continued experience sharing and further partnership in the energy sector.
