Uzbekistan and Korea Sign Memorandum on Pharmaceutical Industry Development
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 8 December 2025, during a working visit of the Director of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry, Abdulla Azizov, to the Republic of Korea, a memorandum of cooperation was signed with the Korea Pharmaceutical Traders Association, under the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) of Korea.
The document aims to attract Korean pharmaceutical and cosmetic companies to the Tashkent Pharma Park pharmaceutical cluster, develop joint investment projects, and strengthen mutual cooperation between the two countries.
The parties emphasized that the collaboration will facilitate the creation of new production capacities in the industrial zone, exchange of expertise, and implementation of innovative technologies in the pharmaceutical sector.
This initiative is intended to enhance Uzbekistan’s position as a regional hub for high-tech production of pharmaceuticals and cosmetic products in Central Asia.
