Uzbekistan and Kenya Establish Diplomatic Relations
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan has established diplomatic relations with Kenya, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan reported.
During a meeting between Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov and Kenya’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Musalia Mudavadi, the parties signed a Joint Communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
With this, the number of states with which Uzbekistan maintains diplomatic ties has reached 164.
Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister emphasized that Kenya demonstrates impressive progress, standing out as one of Africa’s most dynamically developing economies as well as a hub for technology and innovation.
The meeting also highlighted broad opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation aimed at bringing tangible benefits to the peoples of both nations.
