Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan Strengthen Business Partnership: Major Business Forum Takes Place in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Today, on 20 October, the Uzbekistan–Kazakhstan Business Forum opened in the capital. The event is organized with the support of the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The forum serves as one of the largest platforms for enhancing bilateral cooperation, discussing partnership prospects, and exchanging experience among representatives of government agencies, industry associations, and businesses of both countries.

More than 100 representatives from ministries, departments, and companies are taking part in the event. Participants include leading enterprises from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan such as QazTrade AJ, Kedentransservis AJ, iMas Group, Jain Labo, Tazau, Medial Group, Asyl Dan Trade, StalTsink, Telli Ondiris, Sagintay, Muranu, Empire Food, Zhaik Electric, Hi-tech Building, Aral Quartz, and Teplomart.

In his welcoming speech, Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Khurram Teshabayev noted:

“We are witnessing steady growth in trade and investment between our countries. Kazakhstan is one of Uzbekistan’s key economic partners, and we intend not only to maintain but also to expand joint projects in industry, agriculture, and logistics. This forum is yet another confirmation of our commitment to long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation,” said Teshabayev.

According to the parties, mutual trade between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan reached US$3.5 billion from January to September 2025, an increase of 16% compared to the same period last year. Uzbekistan’s exports amounted to US$1.1 billion, up by 7%. Currently, 1,157 Kazakh enterprises operate in Uzbekistan, including 876 companies with 100% Kazakh capital and 281 joint ventures.

The forum showcases the economic and investment potential of both countries and explores new areas of collaboration in industry, agriculture, logistics, construction, and services. Special attention is given to industrial cooperation, the development of transport corridors, and trade digitalization.

Business meetings in G2B and B2B formats are also taking place, where representatives of the private sector discuss concrete projects and initiatives.

The event concludes with a signing ceremony of agreements in food production, infrastructure construction, and the agro-industrial complex.

The Uzbekistan–Kazakhstan Business Forum marks an important step in strengthening strategic partnership and stimulating mutual investment growth, further deepening economic integration between the two countries.
