Uzbekistan and Jordan enhance economic cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 2 February, Bakhtiyor Saidov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with Minister of Investments of Jordan Heiri Amr.
During the talks, the parties discussed a wide range of issues aimed at strengthening and expanding bilateral economic cooperation.
The focus of the discussions was on the creation of an intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation, which is expected to systematize and accelerate the implementation of joint projects.
Furthermore, the ministers agreed to hold a series of business forums designed to attract the attention of the private sectors of both countries to promising investment opportunities.
Special attention was given to the search for new projects that can unlock the full potential of mutually beneficial partnership. Saidov and Amr emphasized the need for in-depth analysis of existing opportunities and an active search for new areas of cooperation.
At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed confidence that the activation of joint efforts would lead to significant growth in trade turnover and the attraction of new investments into both countries. Specific steps for implementing the agreements reached will be determined in the near future.
It is expected that the establishment of the intergovernmental commission will serve as an important impetus for the development of economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Jordan.
