Uzbekistan and Jordan Chambers of Commerce sign memorandum of understanding
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From 1 to 3 February, a delegation from Uzbekistan, led by Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov, is on a visit to Amman, the capital of Jordan.
During the visit, Dilshod Rasulov, Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, met with Jamal Al-Rifaai, First Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Jordan.
Jordan has a strong industrial potential, including pharmaceutical and chemical industries, textile production, as well as the manufacturing of fertilizers and construction materials. The country is also known for its phosphate and potassium reserves, which play a key role in its economy. In addition, the processing and food industries are actively developing.
During the meeting, the parties discussed ways to expand mutually beneficial cooperation between the business communities of both countries, organize business visits and joint events, and explore opportunities to increase industrial cooperation and implement new investment projects.
Following the talks, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and Jordan. This step opens new opportunities for entrepreneurs in both countries and marks an important development in strengthening mutually beneficial trade and economic partnerships.
