Uzbekistan and Jiangsu Province Discuss Industrial Zone and Investment Roadshows

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 17 October 2025, Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Ilzat Kasimov met with Wang Shanghua, Director General of the Jiangsu Council for the Promotion of International Trade (China).

During the talks, the parties discussed ways to expand trade and investment cooperation, establish joint manufacturing enterprises, and develop digital infrastructure.

Among the proposals raised were the creation of a special industrial zone in Uzbekistan with participation from Jiangsu-based companies, the compilation of a list of Chinese enterprises interested in implementing projects, and the formation of a joint working group to coordinate activities.

They also agreed to organize a series of investment “roadshow” events in 2026 in both Uzbekistan and Jiangsu to promote mutual investment opportunities and strengthen business ties.

Following the discussions, both sides confirmed their readiness to actively implement joint initiatives and leverage the potential for further strengthening of economic partnership between Uzbekistan and China.
