Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 23 May 2025, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Olimjon Abdullaev held a meeting with the Ambassador of Japan, Mr. Hattori Takashi, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.

During the talks, the sides addressed key issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of labor migration and the simplification of the visa regime for Uzbek citizens. Particular emphasis was placed on training highly qualified specialists for the Japanese labor market and on the development of joint educational programs aimed at preparing migrants before departure.

The parties also discussed instances of Uzbek citizens violating Japanese migration regulations and explored measures to prevent such cases in the future.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continued cooperation in order to create favorable conditions for Uzbek workers in Japan.
