Uzbekistan and Iran discuss future political and economic cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 11 May 2025, a meeting took place in Tehran between First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Bakhramjon Aloev, and Deputy Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Seyed Rasul Mohajer.
During the talks, the two sides discussed current issues and prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and Iran. The discussion focused primarily on strengthening political dialogue, expanding trade and economic ties, and enhancing cooperation in the fields of transport and logistics.
The parties also exchanged views on the organization of upcoming joint events, particularly the next round of political consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries.
