Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov held talks with Salim bin Mohammed AlMalik, Director-General of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO).

During the meeting, the two sides held a substantive exchange of views on enhancing bilateral cooperation. Minister Saidov emphasized the importance of deepening ties with ICESCO and expressed gratitude for the organization’s support of Uzbekistan’s initiatives, including the designation of Samarkand as the Cultural Capital of the Islamic World for 2025.

As a result of the talks, the Government of Uzbekistan and ICESCO signed an Action Plan outlining key areas of cooperation and joint projects planned for implementation in the near future.
