Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As part of a visit to Hungary, the Minister of Innovative Development of Uzbekistan, Ibrohim Abdurakhmonov held talks with the Minister of Innovation and Technology of Hungary Laszlo Palkovich. The parties reached a number of agreements on joint research projects, quotas for doctoral studies and exchange of experience.
In particular, the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Innovation and Technology of Hungary plan to increase the total budget for a joint competition in the field of robotics and artificial intelligence, medical engineering, agriculture, physical education to US$2 million.
At the same time, Uzbek and Hungarian scientists will conduct joint research, they will be equally funded by the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Innovation and Technology of Hungary.
In addition, a 50-person quota will be allocated for the Hungaricum program in Hungary for young Uzbek researchers studying for a PhD. In addition, an agreement was reached on organizing advanced training for young scientists in Hungarian scientific institutions and institutes.
