Uzbekistan and Hungary Agree on Cooperation in Forensic Expertise
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During an official visit to Budapest, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Justice Akbar Tashkulov held a meeting with Marton Lontay, Director of the Hungarian Institute of Forensic Expertise.
The discussions focused on measures to reform the forensic expertise system, implement modern technologies, and modernize the sector’s infrastructure.
Special attention was given to the activities of the Kh. Suleymanova Republican Forensic Center, which fully complies with international standards, including ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.
The parties discussed the digitalization of the sector, the application of artificial intelligence, countering cybercrime, and the development of research capacity in forensic expertise.
The center’s active participation in international expert networks was highlighted, as well as its preparations to host the 20th session of the Association of Forensic Experts of the CIS (AFSN) in Samarkand in 2028.
As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached on practical cooperation between the forensic expertise institutions of Uzbekistan and Hungary, with a memorandum to be signed subsequently.
