The document was signed during the meeting of Defense Minister Abdusalom Azizov with the British Ambassador to Uzbekistan Christopher Allan.
The Memorandum envisages cooperation in the field of military education, training of military personnel, training in English, conducting joint trainings, participation of Uzbek military personnel in the exercises of the British military as observers, and sharing experience on the law of armed conflicts.
British Ambassador Christopher Allan said that the British side is ready to receive military personnel from Uzbekistan for training in military universities in the UK, such as the Royal Military Academy in Sandhurst and others.
The ambassador expressed gratitude to the government of Uzbekistan for granting the possibility of transit of cargoes of the armed forces of Great Britain located in Afghanistan.
